Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej currently Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born November 12, 1961. She was the first Romanian to score a of 10 at an Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi, an Romanian gymnastics instructor who later became the coach for Comaneci and first became aware of Comaneci aged six. Her first competition was in the National Junior Championships in which she was 13th place in the year 1969. In 1970, Comaneci took home the title. She won three golds in her very first contest, a junior pre-Olympic meet in 1972 that was held by communist countries. In 1973 and 1974, she was the junior all-round champion. She took home four gold medals and one silver medals in her debut competition as a senior which took place in the year 1975. This was the first time she had competed as a senior. She took home the American Cup in New York City in 1976, becoming the first woman in history to complete a reverse double salto, which is dismounting from the uneven bars parallel to each other. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was in her teens she was performing on touring shows like Ice Capades as a skater along with her younger sibling Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne was born on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol began her career in the world of entertainment when she was a teenager. Her first professional gig was figure skating with Nina Wayne, her younger sister in one of the touring entertainment shows Ice Capades. They featured ice skating shows that included theatrical performances.
